These pads began falling apart the moment I put them into the pad pocket of my practice pants. Once the outer vinyl cover cracks, they absorb sweat and gunk, and they get really stinky. Otherwise, they were light and allowed good freedom of movement. Fix the outside and it's a good product.

These are comfortable, well designed knee pads with the exception of the coating. When they first arrived, the coating felt like slippery paper, and indeed, they were too slippery to stay put in the looser "practice" pants. They were first worn for a game, and after that first game, they were cracked all over. At least with the cracks, the cracks snag on the mesh of the pants and stay in place better to do their job.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have bought these pads from Football America several times over the past few years. We love these pads. However, this season the pads were coated with a cheaper vinyl and cracked as were removed them from the packaging! Shame on you Football America!
