FIT
These pants are a great 1/2-way point between really tight "standard" baseball pants (see D.Jeter), and really baggy "pajama" style pants (see Manny R.). They are a true "relaxed fit" (not skin tight, and not ghetto loose). I am 5"10, 157lbs, 33' waist, so they might fit different if you are much larger/smaller than I am. Also, I wear pants knee-high, and had these hemmed to make the inseam shorter (I hate doing the "roll-up" trick). The pants have a great taper down to the knee for the "classic look."

MATERIAL QUALITY
The material is thin (but not see-through) and breathable, but so far seems to have great durability. I play outfield and have kneeslid, etc. to catch balls in these pants quite a few times. Aside from grass stains, these have held up great so far. The material is breathable, and does not get too hot when the weather is warm. The pockets are sewn down, and the belt loops are strong. All around, the stitching seems to be quality work.

Fabric doesn't hold up.

I bought these pants because they are part of the team uniform and less expensive than buying through the school. However, I am extremely dissatified with the quality of the fabric. After one slide, there was a rip in the hip. Pants are ruined. Supposedly these are made from the same fabric as the Pro-flare style. Last year I ordered the grey pro-flares and those held up great-no sliding rips at all. Fabric on the gray pants seemed thicker. These pants are not durable at all.

So, I was the one who did the "Good Pants" review[...] This is my promised long term follow-up review. I've had these pants for about two months now. I've worn them, on average, about 3x week since then. I am an aggressive base runner and out fielder. Hence, I slide a good amount. These pants have held up great. I finally got a small rip in the knee last week when I slid on some very hard/rough ground. Considering the conditions, I'm surprise a small rip was all that happened. Overall, I like these a lot and would not hesitate to get them again, or recommend them someone else.
