I was leery about spending this much on a pair of practice pants for my son who seems to outgrow everything in a matter of months, but this is one of the best youth sports equipment buys I have made so far. He got 3 seasons out of them and are still in pretty good shape. Now he needs a larger waist size, and UA doesn't make it! He wore them with a 5 pocket girdle- only knee pads in the pants. Our league supplies practice and game pants, but they are not high-end and the practice pants are usually really beat. Practice pants get worn 3-5 days a week. Over the course of 3 years, I definitely think it was worth getting my son his own.

Bought these for my 8 year old son to wear for game pants. He is difficult to get football pants for as he is not built like most kids. He is slim but has bigger legs (thighs) than most little kids. So pants with sewn in pads that he can get over his thighs can't be tightened enough so they don't slide down at the waist. These are perfect. They have rubber grippers at the waist but can tighten nicely and stretch like they should to fit his legs. I will be buying these again when he outgrows them. And seem very durable as well. He wants to wear them for practice as well as they are the most comfortable he has....
